Hadza of Tanzania

Continued.. The Hadza continue to live the same sustainable way of life as their ancestors, which had shown little modification until the past 100 years. Their click language is unrelated to any other language in the world. Although they are often associated to the San of Botswana and Namibia they are not related to any population. Under pressure from increasing neighbouring groups encroaching on their Hadza land and affected by the impact of tourism and safari hunting, their lifestyle is under serious threat.

Despite Government efforts to settle them, which have failed and all of these other challenges they resist change and continue to pursue a traditional way of life without planting crops or keeping livestock. We were extremely privileged to be accepted to spend time with them, gaining a very brief insight into a unique people and their way of life.
