As much as enjoying the pleasure of exploring and of taking these photographs, I wish to share what I have been privileged to see; be it people, wildlife, the environment or fragile, ancient cultures.
As a photographer I simply enjoy trying to preserve a moment in time, an image that has captured me, not the other way round. Through these images I wish to convey the uniqueness and beauty of our incredible planet.
Together with my wife Sue, whose images are also included on this site, we often find ourselves spotting the same, 'as seen from across the room' type of moment, which on numerous occasions we have been unable to capture for various reasons, but have an unspoken shared knowledge of simply enjoying witnessing something beautiful or special, happy to have just been there without needing to photograph it. We also share the same instinct for an image but sometimes interpret it in different ways.
